Job description
Your Mission
Be the face of SidelineSwap in your region. You'll run pop-up trade-in events at partner retail stores, buy high-quality used gear from athletes and sports families, and manage your own SidelineSwap business account where that gear gets resold.
What You'll Do
You'll split your time between two things: running weekend trade-in events and managing your online store.
On the event side, you'll build relationships with the retail partners hosting your events, evaluate and buy used sports gear using our trade-in software, deliver a great customer experience, and handle the logistics of getting gear photographed and shipped back to our warehouse. Most of your event schedule is planned for you — and as you get comfortable, you'll have opportunities to build your own partnerships and expand your buying beyond events.
On the account side, you'll run your own SidelineSwap business unit. That means reviewing performance metrics, managing inventory, responding to customers, and making smart pricing decisions to maximize your sales and monthly bonus.
What We're Looking For
A hustler's mindset — you treat this like your own business, not just a job
Strong customer service instincts and comfort talking to anyone
Entrepreneurial experience or a side hustle is a big plus
General sports knowledge; expertise in one sport preferred
Comfort working independently in a remote, non-traditional schedule
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary plus monthly performance bonuses
Health and dental benefits
Equity in SidelineSwap
Real opportunity for growth as we expand the team
Schedule
This is not a Monday–Friday, 9-to-5 role. Events run Friday through Sunday at partner retail locations. Wednesday and Thursday are work-from-home days for account management and event prep. Monday and Tuesday off.
About SidelineSwap
SidelineSwap is the #1 online marketplace for sports gear. Since launching in 2015, over two million athletes and sports families have joined our community to buy and sell equipment. We recently partnered with Dick's Sporting Goods and other leading retailers to power the circular economy in sports through our trade-in program — making it easier and more affordable for families to play the sports they love.
We're a small, fully remote team that operates with a lot of autonomy and a collaborative mindset. Named one of the fastest-growing marketplaces on the a16z Marketplace 100.
